April Playlist – Throwbacks

While looking through all of my music options I noticed some nostalgic songs. These are songs that I personally grew up with and that give me a good feeling when I’m listening to them again. Then an idea hit me; throwback playlists. With some classic and still wonderful groovy and good-feeling songs, I now present to you April’s playlist

All Ma Ladies – March Playlist

March is the annual Womens Month! As women, we love to show pride for who we are as a females! Many artists have written songs about the power women have and how amazing we are. They share stories about what kind of pain a female can go through and still come out stronger in the end. Others write about how all of our individuality makes us beautiful. I’ll be sharing those songs with you in this month’s playlist!

Art is a beautiful thing in our world, but it takes many forms. Everyone is creative and their creativity is expressed in different ways whether that be music, dance, problem solving, painting, cooking, etc. Art is also an aesthetic that combines cultures together. Art adds beauty and life to the world and people’s lives.

This month we are exploring some visual artwork! Here are some art pieces from some of the people right here at FACE including some from the staff here at The Scoop!

What I Am Passionate About – My Wanderlust Heart & Soul

The word Wanderlust means, “A very strong or irresistible impulse to travel.” It is one of many words that personally describe me. Susan Sontag once said, “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.” When people ask about my huge interest in traveling I always consider the question to be a deep one, but I gladly answer.  I want to get out for I have an insane calling to be where I’m not.

And when I say I want to travel I don’t mean I want to stay in resorts and go on tours with tour guides or buy key-chains from souvenir shops. I have no plan to be a tourist. When I say I want to travel, I mean I want to explore another country and become apart of it! I want to discover small coffee shops in France, Italy, and Germany. I want to walk on the beaches in Australia and explore the bookstores and castles in England. I want to hike the Great Wall Of China and go cliff diving in Hawaii! I want to meet people who are not like me, but people who I can like all the same. I want to take pictures of people and things I see! I want my mind to be in constant awe of life on Earth. I want to see things with new eyes.

I want to be able to look at a map and remember all the places I’ve been to and how they have transformed me, by the place, the people and the culture! I want to come home and realize that I have not come home whole, but I have left a piece of my heart in another place. This, I personally think, is what is at the Heart of Adventure. And I plan to make my life one.
